Easy way to give back tonight (benefit event)

Every year many schools and their athletic teams involve the kids in a charity or benefit event to help better an organization in their communities. And it's a great thing.
On Saturday night, the West Bloomfield hockey team is hosting Troy Athens at St. Mary's Ice Arena in what I'm hoping will be a most successful benefit game, aimed at helping the family of West Bloomfield police officer Patrick O'Rourke, who was senselessly killed while responding to a call back in early September.
Left behind is his incredible family, including wife Amy and their four children - all under the age of 11. The family, including his immediate family, is expected to be there. It should be an emotional event. The Lakers team is planning on hosting a slew of fundraising events and activities throughout the game, which is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is just $5. All proceeds will go to the family.
Click here for my story on the festivities.
If you'd like to help the family out, please visit the Patrick O'Rourke Family Trust website. And if you want to see just how strong Amy O'Rourke is, please watch her interview with WXYT.
