Regional playoff predictions - check them out

Where has the time gone? Seems like just yesterday we were trying to wrap up the fall sports season and quickly realizing that I had missed the beginning of the hockey season. November ... four months ago ... where has the time gone?
The state hockey playoffs are here and once again expectations are high for Oakland County teams. Catholic Central and St. Mary's are ranked Nos. 1-2 in Division 1. Brother Rice is No. 1 in Division 2. And Cranbrook is No. 1 in Division 3.
Last year, for the first time since 1998, none of the aforementioned teams won a state title. At least one of the four, if not more than one, had captured a title every season since they were shut out in 1997-98. That's a remarkable feat.
This year it wouldn't surprise me at all if all three divisions were won by one of the above teams. That hasn't happened since 2005, when CC, Brother Rice and St. Mary's all won state titles.

That being said, here are my predictions for this year's regional tournament - at least those containing an Oakland County team. Don't agree? I'd love to hear what you have to say. Leave a comment!

Sorry Anonymous1, I stuck to the regions in which our Oakland County teams were participating in. However, I feel the winner of the Brighton/Howell pre-regional final will make it to Compuware. That quarter of the state bracket is much easier to navigate through than the ones involving Regions 5 and 6 and 7 and 8.
Brighton and Howell tied earlier in the year, but right now I think Brighton is playing a little better hockey. I think it's a one-goal game - Brighton 3, Howell 2

Anonymous2, you are absolutely right. When they list the KBH team as Kearsley, it throws us for a loop. I added them to my predictions, though it was a little difficult to research. We don't cover any Bay City/Flint-area hockey, so I believe I found enough information to make a valid prediction.

Anonymous3 - you could be right. Looking down Ike's schedule, they look solid. They beat every OAA team they played, including Clarkston, 4-3. Clarkston and Lake Orion were very close this year (Lake Orion won twice, each time by a goal).
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Eagles beat the Dragons, or even Clarkston. Cliche', yes, but it is hard to beat a team three times in a season.
