Exciting times for MIPrepZone.com

My blog is relatively new, so I'm still trying to build up a following. But for those of you who get a chance to read this, I want to share with you something brand new to The Oakland Press and MIPrepZone.
For the first time this past weekend, we produced a video broadcast for a high school football game. Staff members Ross Maghielse and Keith Dunlap called Oxford's 41-20 win over Lake Orion Friday night. Per MHSAA rules, the live broadcast was audio only. But within minutes of the game's end, the complete video broadcast was up and ready to be watched.
Players, their families and friends were able to go home and watch the game immediately. That's something they cannot get anywhere else. The game will remain on MIPrepZone, so fans can tune in whenever they want. No need to wait five days for public access TV to play the game on their schedule. On MIPrepZone, you can watch it when you want, as many times as you want.

This week we'll be out at Southfield High School on Thursday, when the Bluejays will host Farmington Hills Harrison in one of the marquee matchups of the OAA White season. Go to MIPrepZone.com Thursday afternoon to check it out. We'll be going live at 3:45 p.m. with our audio broadcast. You can then watch the game online after the game ends.

The Oakland Press 2011 High School Football Preview

It was a short summer, which is good news to football fans. Oakland Press prep coordinator Keith Dunlap and his crew worked hard and fast to put together the most comprehensive football preview package in Oakland County.
All their hard work came together in the 2011 High School Football Preview, which appeared in today's (Sunday, Aug. 21) Oakland Press. Due to space limitations in the preview section, however, a slew of additional copy had to be posted on our website, MIPrepZone.com/oakland.
Dunlap and his staff previewed every team in the county and ranked the Top 75 players. Everything is up on the website now.
