KLAA football media day - sweet thinking

There's nothing better for a sports writer than a free lunch. Well, maybe a free lunch while on the job. Or better yet, a free lunch, on the job, while all your contacts (aka football coaches) are sitting there, waiting to give you everything you need to get your job done.
That was the case Thursday at Novi High School, where the KLAA held its first ever football media day.
No, I was unable to make it. But we at The Oakland Press - and MIPrepZone - sent four reporters and a photographer to take in the event and come away with a plethora of stories.
Personally, I was home sending out emails to all of my 42 high school tennis coaches. That's how I'll be gathering information for my preview.
For Keith Dunlap, Ben Szilagy, Scott Burnstein and Jeff Dullack, a dozen or so Oakland County (area) teams were in attendance, allowing them easy access for interviews. In the end, the guys were able to walk out of there with a bunch of stories, photos and videos.
In case you missed it ...
